Headdressers is an incredibly versatile workshop that is suitable for people of all ages and abilities. It uses only paper and tape, produces very little waste and can be run in a veriety of settings. 

I originally ran this workshop in collaboration with artist Daisy Strang as part of Manchester Art Gallery’s Summer Trends holiday programme.

The workshop drew inspiration from MAG’s ‘Vogue 100: A Century of Style’ exhibition and encouraged participants to experiment with form and movement. We used simple paper shapes to construct headdresses through which they could shift and change their shapes and explore different identities.
