Mexican Gigante Puppet

For Colibri Mexican folk Dancer's entry into Manchester day 2019 I was asked to create a Mexican Gigante Puppet to dance alongside the Stunning Veracruz Folklorico Dancers in the parade.

For the bust of the gigante I first sculpted in clay and then used papier mashe to create a hard shell. I then costumed the puppet to match the traditional dress of the dancers.
