For this years Manchester Day, Colibi Mex Dance asked me to make them a Toro de Petate and a pair of Jaguar Dancer costumes! This year I also created a new cactus garden for the Alebrije and a waterproof verson of the traditonal marigold headbands to be worn by the dancers.

These pieces where a lot of fun to make and I loved researching traditional construction methods so that they were as authentic as possible. I only made a few adjustments to ensure that they could stand up to potentially volitile manchester weather conditions.

I also ran workshops so that members of Mexican Folk dance community could come in and get involved in the making process.
